Wessex Children’s Book Festival

The 13th Wessex Children’s Book Festival at Winchester Discovery Centre entertained nearly 9000 people during the largest festival of its kind in the South East in 2010. With authors such as the Children’s Laureate Anthony Browne, Dame Jacqueline Wilson, Lauren Child and Rick Riordan, visitors jumped at the chance to have such famous authors inspire their children and develop their literacy skills and it was no surprise that the festival was a huge success.

Following on from the success of the 2010 event, we are currently planning the 14th Wessex Children’s Book Festival that will take place 29th October –2nd November 2012. Working in partnership with a range of authors, performers, artists and tutors, we have developed a fantastic programme of festival events, workshops and activities.
