Chilworth
Situated four miles South East of Romsey, this well-wooded Parish lies between the boundaries of Eastleigh and Southampton Districts. The Southern part of the Parish has been developed as a dormitory area for Southampton, but the original hamlet of Chilworth is tucked away in a hollow near the parish church.
The church of St. Denys dates from the early 19th Century and has several interesting architectural features as well as bells said to date from the 12th Century. The line of the Roman road from Otterbourne to the New Forest passes diagonally through the Parish, and a branch of the M27 crosses the Southern part of the Parish.
Further information on attractions to discover in the area and other interesting villages to visit is available. For information on public services for Chilworth please take a look at the Southampton local pages.
