Totton and Eling
The Town is proud of the fact that it has been part of the New Forest for a very long time with ponies still being free to roam through parts of the Town until the 1960's.
Totton has a strong community feeling and has for many years strived to keep a separate identity from its large neighbour of Southampton. Eling church has Saxon foundations, but is thirteenth century in its architecture. Nearby is the eighteenth century tidal mill - restored by voluntary labour to working order.
