Name badges

Standard Hampshire County Council names badges must be used by all staff, with the exception of those working in care environments (see below) and business units, who can incorporate their marketing identity logo. Standard name badges can be ordered from PCMI (tel: 023 9232 2800) and must look like this:

The width of these name badges must remain constant, but the height can vary depending on the length of the name and job title.

Staff working in care environments may use an oval name badge to comply with safe-handling regulations. These badges must include the member of staff's name, but do not need to include the logo. As the name badge will always be worn with workwear on which our logo appears, this is perfectly acceptable.

Security badges

There is a standard format for security badges, which includes:

• photograph

• our logo

• name

• department name.

Marketing identity badges

If you need to develop an alternative name badge for a specific reason, please first discuss it with the Corporate Communications Team. This is only acceptable where a marketing identity has been approved.
