Vehicle livery
Road safety | Transit-type and small vans | Estate and small cars | Pick-up with removable canopy | Highway maintenance and recovery vehicles | Lorries | Social care vehicles | Other applications
Whenever possible on vehicle livery, the two-colour logo must be used along with the web address and information centre telephone number.
On dark-coloured vehicles you may use the reversed-out version (crown and lettering in white and the rose in red). But if there is insufficient contrast between the red rose and the vehicle colour, the rose with the white outline may be used.
If space is limited on any vehicle, the main logo must be the main feature of the livery.
Road safety
Research shows that lighter-coloured vehicles are less likely to be involved in collisions resulting in serious injury. For further information contact the Road Safety Team on 01962 846888.
Transit-type and small vans
The logo, telephone number and Hantsweb address must be positioned on the panels, with the logo positioned on the driver and passenger doors. The full logo must also appear across the back.
Separate, agreed marketing identities can be used, but the Hampshire County Council logo must be applied on the driver and passenger doors, as well as the back doors – using contact details most appropriate to the unit or project.

Estate and small cars
The logo must appear on the front doors, with information centre contact details on the rear doors.
A department, service name or agreed marketing identity with contact details, if required, must go on the rear doors, across the bonnet and at the back of the car alongside the main logo.
Pick-up with removable canopy
The logo must appear on the driver and passenger doors. The department, service name or agreed marketing identity must appear on the canopy. A contact number and Hantsweb address must appear on the main body of the vehicle in a prominent position.
Highway maintenance and recovery vehicles
The Hampshire Highways logo must appear in the most prominent position, with Hampshire County Council and contractor’s logos side-by-side on the driver and front passenger doors. Contact the Corporate Communications Team for further guidance.
Lorries
The main logo, telephone number and Hantsweb address must appear on the side of the lorry, with two logos on the back of the vehicle. Department, service name or agreed marketing identities can replace the Hampshire County Council details on the side of the lorry but the Hampshire logo must then move to the front and passenger doors, as well as the back doors.
Social care vehicles
If there is a need for more discretion, or in some cases anonymity, vehicles used by social care departments may make more discreet use of the logo or not use it at all on the outside of the vehicle.
