A Connected Community

Merton Rise, is a development just to the north of Basingstoke that will include up to 950 residential dwellings, the new Everest Community College (which opened in September 2007) and a range of facilities designed to meet the needs of the new and surrounding communities. Development on the site started in 2006 and is due to be completed in 2011. It will include a neighbourhood centre with shops, cafes, a nursery, a supermarket and possibly a doctors surgery. There will also be a number of open spaces, some including children's play areas, for relaxation and leisure.
