  We look forward to welcoming you to our 1950’s-style café that overlooks the museum streets below. Enjoy coffees, teas, cakes, sandwiches, soup or a baked potato as you listen to the jukebox and enjoy a journey back in time.

  The café is family friendly too, with our popular food offer for younger children. High chairs are available.

  Gift shop

  After enjoying visiting the museum don’t miss visiting our gift shop too.

  You’ll find a fantastic range of items in our shop, from traditional toys, games and dressing up costumes to retro cards, gifts and souvenirs – perfect for finding a really unusual gift, or for treating yourself. We also stock children’s and adult books, including an extensive range of 2WW titles.

  You can visit the shop without going round the museum.

  Do you remember barley sugars and winter mixture?

  Buy yourself an old penny in our upstairs gift shop and spend it in our 1930’s sweet shop on the museum street. Treat yourself to a bag of sweets that reminds you of yesterday.
