Draft Hampshire Minerals and Waste Plan published
The draft Plan has now been published by the partner authorities for a six week period for representations on its 'soundness'. Following this period the draft Plan will be submitted to the Secretary of State alongside the representations. An independent Planning Inspector will then consider the draft Plan at Public Examination on its 'soundness;
The period for making representations runs from 7 November 2011 to 19 December 2011, after which representations will not be accepted.
The draft Plan, its supporting evidence, and representations forms will be available online, at the partner authority offices, and at local libraries from 7 November 2011.

South Downs National Park Authority
From 1 April 2011 the South Downs National Park Authority became responsible for all planning in the South Downs National Park, and is now in partnership with Hampshire County Council for those parts of the national park that are within Hampshire.
