The DAAT Support Team is responsible for commissioning and coordinating high quality substance misuse services across Hampshire.

Two heroin users from the Fareham / Gosport and Portsmouth areas have died following the use of what is believed to be a batch of contaminated heroin. A further three people have been hospitalised following serious adverse reactions.

33 year-old man died on after being taken ill the previous day and being transported to hospital in a critical condition.
3rd May
Woman admitted to hospital in critical condition following severe adverse reaction.
Hampshire Constabulary are investigating a probable relationship between all five incidents. It is believed that all five maybe linked to the same batch of heroin.
This presents a significant and immediate risk to heroin users in the Portsmouth and Hampshire area.
If you think you may have purchased some of this batch do not use it.
