Have you used title deeds in your local or family history research? Are you baffled by complicated conveyances, mystifying mortgages or tangled tenancies? Title deeds can be a wonderful source of information about properties and the people who have owned or lived in them, but being faced with a mountain of parchment documents filled with seemingly endless repetition can be daunting. Our workshop will show you how to recognise the common types of deed you are likely to come across, and how to pick out the key pieces of information.
The session will take place at Hampshire Record Office on Tuesday 13th March; it will start at 10.30am and finish about 1pm, with a tea interval part-way through.
