Southampton City Art Gallery has toilets and a shop. Nearby, Sea City Museum are offering a 10% discount in their café for all artSOUTH visitors. You will need to present a discount voucher which is available in the artSOUTH leaflet which can be picked up at artSOUTH venues.

Disabled car parking is available in the nearby car parks, and the building has lift access for wheelchair users.

The nearest Train station is Southampton Central Railway Station. From there a free bus can taken to the Town Quay, which is approximately a 20 minute walk to the SS. Shieldhall.

The SS Shieldhall is based at berth 48 at the southern end of the Ocean Dock. Access to the berth is via Dock Gate 4 which is well sign-posted as you approach the area. Once you enter through Dock Gate 4, turn right - 3rd exit from the roundabout and follow the signs for the Ocean Cruise Terminal., continuing onwards to the SS Shieldhall.

Short stay car parking can be found at the Ocean Cruise Terminal, or alternatively at Queens Terrace Car Park. Southampton City Centre Parking close by.

Access to the ship is via a gangway, which can accommodate a wheelchair user, although there are steps within the ship to access the main deck, where the toilets are also accessed. If you have mobility issues please contact the John Hansard Gallery to discuss your access requirements further.

The nearest stations are Southampton Central and Airport Parkway, from which Unilink buses stop at Highfield Interchange, 2 minutes walk from the Gallery. The U1 leaves every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes in weekends/Bank Holidays.

Pay and display car parking can be found on University Road. There is designated accessible parking at the rear of the gallery building.  The Gallery has a shop and toilets, including a fully accessible toilet for wheelchair users.

Thegreenroom, Nuffield Theatre Cafe on the University campus are offering a 10% discount for all artSOUTH visitors. Open for snacks and lunches from 10.30am – 2.30pm and for dinner from 6-7pm. You will need to present a discount voucher which is available in the artSOUTH leaflet which can be picked up at artSOUTH venues.
