Basing House

School visits

Basing House is the ideal site to learn about the Tudors or the Stuarts. It is also the perfect place to find out all about Geography, History, Archaeology, Citizenship, Drama, ICT and much more.

With a Learning and Community Centre that can be set up as an Archaeology Laboratory, we can offer visits to the site that include learning how to be an archaeologist. Basing House has a Museum with rooms dedicated to everyday life in the Tudor period and the Civil War as it happened here at the site.

Our staff can run sessions that are geared towards whichever subjects you would like to focus on, whether it be an afternoon creating maps using handheld GPSs, or a morning talking to Civil War soldiers and setting up a soldier’s siege camp, there is something to suit every class.

School visit costs
