With a passion for outdoor learning, you will have a broad experience of working in the Outdoor Industry and ideally be working, or have worked in a Centre and have some relevant teaching experience. It is essential for you to hold two relevant instructional awards; it is desirable that one of these is RYA Dinghy Instructor. Skill in any land-based activity is advantageous, particularly skiing, rock climbing, snowboarding or Field Studies.
The intense training programme will begin 1st January 2014 to ensure staff can teach all of our activities at an introductory standard. Although initially a fixed-term contract, there is a real opportunity for a longer-term career at Calshot as all of our permanent instructor posts are recruited from fixed-term instructors. You will have a real chance of applying for one of these sought-after permanent posts at the South’s premier outdoor education centre.
