From April 2011 onwards, we will be operating a 'no exceptions' policy with regard to non-attendance. If a place is booked on a course and that place is not taken up then the setting/learner will be liable for the charge of £50 with no exceptions.
We insist on one weeks notice in order to issue the place to someone on the waiting list and have a charging policy for cancellations made with less than 7 days notice
The course provider (in the case of a tender company)
HTLC (in the case of an EYFS course)

If you cannot provide us with the name and date of who the cancellation was made with, then the charge of £50 per place will stand.
You should either receive a confirmation or regret when you send a booking.
Please note if you book online you will receive an email confirmation/regret.
It is the manager's responsibility to check bookings if you have not heard either way (post can sometimes go astray or emails filtered into junk mail folders, for example). It is also the manager's responsibility to cancel bookings for staff that leave the setting's employ.
A "did not attend" letter will no longer be sent. Once we receive a register with a non attendance recorded on it, we will check our system and that of the training provider for details of a cancellation. If no cancellation has been received with one weeks notice, an invoice will be raised and will be non - disputable
In the last financial year, non attendance cost the training budget £1,455.87 in unfilled course places. This year our training budget has had cuts and so it is essential we take a firm stance with regards to charging for non attendance. This income is put directly back into the course budget to enable us to continue running training courses.
