GAP offers its members a chance to achieve through different projects that are accredited to the Gateway Award Scheme. The award is similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and takes place within a weekly Youth Club setting.

The Base Youth Centre is a large purpose-built youth centre which offers a wide range of activities including sports, recreation, education and personal development for the young people of Hook and the surrounding area. The provision has evolved and now has on average 250 members attending each week over 4 nights, ranging from school year 3 (aged 7-8 years) to year 12 (17-18 years).

The EDGE Project
The EDGE Project enables young people to have their say and run projects and events relating to or within these spaces. It is an opportunity to be creative, share ideas, learn new skills and meet new people.
The Panels are involved in every aspect of the project from sponsorship and marketing to research, delivery of events and evaluation. Projects can involve photography, music, theatre and performance, multimedia, filming, dance, DJing, graffiti and much more. The sky is the limit!
