    Open access drop in for young people age 15 - 17 years old. We offer sexual health advice, guidance and information on contraception, pregnancy, Chlamydia testing and condom distribution, as well as support and advice on drug and alcohol issues.

    We also work with young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET,) or who are at risk of becoming NEET, to help with CV writing and accessing post-16 education, employment and training options.

    Housing Gateway drop in – homeless16/17 year olds can seek advice from Hampshire Youth Support Service.

    Initial benefit forms can also be completed for young people who are seeking benefits before they are referred to the job centre, who will complete the process.

    The club is open from 6.30-8.30pm on Wednesday evenings, young people have their own space to hang out with their friends, take part in fun activities such as guitar hero, table tennis, pool, wii, PS3 and much more.  

    Advice & Guidance– The Open Access club also has an advice and guidance drop in at The Loft where young people can access free and confidential service.  Young people chat privately with a youth worker about to get information about youth issues such as employment, relationships, drug and alcohol, healthy eating and sexual health including pregnancy and chlamydia testing, free condoms and information about contraception.

    Currently sessions are very well attended by young people of all ages. Sessions are sub-divided into age groupings, this is so activities can be targeted to enable young people to participate and enjoy their leisure time in a way which best suits their needs.


    The programme currently runs twice a week in the evenings, and during the school holiday’s.

    Knightwood Youth Club

    Knightwood Youth Club aims to provide good quality and enjoyable youth club sessions in a safe, friendly environment for young people aged between 13 and 17 living in or near the area of Valley Park. The club provides a meeting place for young people to socialise outside school hours, which allows new friendships to develop.

    It also aims through their professional youth leader to provide confidential advice when asked, as well as giving the young people of the area opportunities to enjoy music, Xbox and Wii games, pool and table tennis, art & craft or other leisure pursuits.

    At J’s young people have an opportunity to socialise with other young people in a relaxed and youth friendly setting, they have access to youth club equipment such as pool table, table tennis, wii and PS£ but we also encourage and support the young people to get involved in projects that take place over a number of weeks such as drama workshops, graffiti and creative writing projects.
