Traineeships – Information for Organisations Referring Young People

Traineeships are designed to help young people who want to get an apprenticeship or job but don’t yet have the appropriate skills or experience. It is essentially a perfect bridge into paid employment. They are an ideal opportunity for young people to get a job but who lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for; our programme offer provides two entry points for young people.

First Traineeship

This programme gives the confidence to prepare young people for the world of work through a community project and support with Maths and English through engaging an interesting activities related to the workplace. They will also develop employability skills and work towards a Level 1 Award in Job Search & Interview Skills; this qualification has been developed in partnership with Reed Employment Agency to help prepare young people for the world of work.
