The Hampshire Healthy Weights Strategy Action Plan contains the priorities for action from 2012 - 2015.
Build the local intelligence and increase understanding of the issues
Build on the partnership approach to delivery
Create environments that promote health (emotional health; healthy eating and physical activity)
Help families and children make healthier lifestyle choices (Physical Activity (PA) and Healthy Eating (HE))
Provide effective services for those at risk of unhealthy weights (overweight and obesity pathway)
Implement a workforce development strategy
On 17 April 2012, the draft Healthy Weights Strategy was presented to all stakeholders at a special event held in Winchester. The event provided an opportunity for strategic partners to help shape and inform the way forward.
The presentation provides an overview of the strategy, the evidence behind it, as well as data about children’s weight in Hampshire.
