Hampshire Countryside Access Forum is an advisory body working to improve your enjoyment of Hampshire’s countryside whilst safe-guarding its future.
The Forum is independent of any council or interest group – it comprises local members of the public with a wealth of experience in aspects of countryside recreation and rights of way. They are balanced between those who use paths (walkers, horse-riders, cyclists, vehicle users) and those who provide that access (farmers, land agents, parish councils, trusts); it is this wide range of interests which enables the Forum to provide balanced advice.
Legally, the group is the statutory Local Access Forum which each county council, unitary council and national park authority must establish and support; this is the joint Forum for Hampshire (excluding the New Forest and South Downs), Southampton and Portsmouth.
