Staunton’s Education Team are able to provide custom-made Environmental Education training days for teachers and education providers. These days are available for primary and secondary and can be cross-curricular or topic specific. Environmental Education is impossible to clearly define – outside or inside, inspired by natured, sustainable development – it has long been recognised to provide a variety of benefits:
These days will provide staff with the knowledge and resources required to teach a wide variety of topics using newly learnt techniques. Each delegate will receive a comprehensive pack to support the training and to provide useful material including activity instructions, master copies and useful contacts.
The day will be based at the park and will be spent mostly outdoors although will make use of the conference facilities. A menu of local and organic refreshments and lunch is included. If however you would prefer to use your own grounds this can be arranged.
If you would like more information, or to book an Environmental Education CPD session or our other options for your staff, please contact the Education Team.
Look out on our website for details of our twilight tours. These are a great opportunity for teaching staff to find out first-hand what Staunton’s Education service can offer you, as well as providing a fun hands-on pre-visit.
We are happy to attend your staff or departmental meetings at your school. During these FREE sessions we can provide outdoor activities in your grounds or a 30 minute presentation showing the relevant links between us.
