Applying for a Year 3 place in a primary school
A few parents may wish to apply to an all-through primary school for a place in Year 3. If so, you should use the following procedure:
- Apply to a junior school online or on the paper form. This will ensure a school place for September.
- Apply to your preferred primary school by completing an in-year application form
2mb (also available from the school) and returning it direct to the primary school before 10 June 2013, six weeks before the end of term.
The primary school will be able to consider applications for a September 2013 place from 10 June 2013.
Any applications which are refused admission have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel. You can appeal the decision after 10 June 2013. Please contact the County Admissions Team to request an appeal pack.
