Grants for full-time students
There is a range of support available if you have dependants, such as Adult Dependants’ Grant, Childcare Grant, Parents’ Learning Allowance, Lone Parent's Grant, Child Tax Credits.

Childcare vouchers are available for teachers and other Hampshire County Council employees under a 'salary sacrifice' scheme. The childcare voucher scheme is operated by Computershare Voucher Services who are our appointed childcare voucher providers, and in order to join the scheme you will need to contact them to receive an information pack. Hampshire is committed to supporting schools invest in staff well-being, which contributes directly to more efficient organisational performance, improved staff morale and motivation, all of which can drive school improvement. Hampshire has a number of elements in place to support this.
A dedicated WoW website has been created to help school staff to make tangible and practical links between existing agendas and to deepen and develop a more sustainable approach to ensuring staff well-being. This website aims to strengthen and support the engagement, delivery and embedding of existing strategies, such as the reform agenda, social and emotional aspects of learning (SEAL), and Healthy Schools (HS), ensuring that staff well-being is supported.
The WoW project is co-delivered by a number of teams within Hampshire, who also work closely with professional associations and unions, to support embedding of well-being within schools.
Education Personnel Services (EPS) provides services to school managers in respect of people management issues.
Employee Support Line (esl) is a confidential counselling and support service provided by trained, experienced counsellors, providing face-to-face counselling available throughout Hampshire.
Health & Safety Team provide guidance and downloadable forms/templates for use within schools on health and safety aspects, such as risk assessments and upcoming training.
Healthy Schools Team can provide support and guidance to schools on how to gain national Healthy Schools status as well as training and meeting opportunities.
Occupational Health provide services to promote the health and well-being of staff in schools, including guidance on all aspects of health, from the physical to the emotional.

The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) has launched two national CPD programmes to increase the number of specialist teachers of mathematics, physics and chemistry.
The Mathematics Development Programme for Teachers is aimed at qualified teachers who may not have originally qualified in Secondary mathematics. Examples of potential course participants include Primary trained teachers who have moved across phase to secondary or perhaps a science teacher who may now be teaching some mathematics.
The Science Additional Specialism Programme is aimed at practising science teachers who wish to gain an additional teaching specialism in either Physics or Chemistry which will enable them to confidently teach their chosen subject of either Chemistry or Physics to A level standard.
