The Award Project engages targeted young people (14-18 year olds) in positive accredited activities, using The Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Award (DofE), to inspire, change, promote learning and reduce re-offending.
The Award Project has been immensely successful in engaging young people in accredited activities, with the team being highly qualified and experienced in working with challenging behaviour in outdoor education (please see our statistics download). Alongside gaining the DofE Award and other Level 2 qualifications on our programme, young people's emotional literacy is enhanced through greater self esteem, social skills and team-work (there is a growing belief amongst industry analysts that EQ is more important for effective performance than IQ)
The Award Project works in collaboration with the Hampshire Youth Offending Team and other partner agencies and also signpost to other support services, working with the young person for up to 12 months.
