Economic & Business Intelligence Service (EBIS)

What is the Economic & Business Intelligence Service (EBIS) and who is it for?

The Economic and Business Intelligence Service (EBIS) is a subscription based service that provides regular up-to-date sub-national economic and business intelligence, briefings and insights in order to support the sub-regional economic development activity.

Hampshire County Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Surrey County Council, Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Enterprise M3 LEP have signed up for the service in 2012/13. The service has done some bespoke work for other non-subscribing local authorities e.g. Portsmouth City Council.

The service is based upon two key strands of activity:

  • the production of economic and business intelligence reports on a monthly basis, (See Economic & business intelligence reports tab )

  • the provision of a more ‘bespoke’ service. (See Economic research, analysis & expertise tab)

Economic & Business Intelligence reports

The first strand consists of three timely (monthly) reports of publishable quality for each subscribing county/LEP:
