Who does what
The Financial Assessments and Benefits (FAB) Support Team is located in Winchester. They:
arrange FAB visits
deal with financial assessment queries for Care services that support you to live at home.
The (FAB) Visiting Officers are based in offices around Hampshire. They:
Help service users receiving care at home to complete a Statement of Financial Circumstances (SAS10) form and work out their financial assessment.
Help service users receiving residential and nursing care to complete a Statement of Financial Circumstances (SAS 4) form and send it to our Residential Assessments team to work out the financial assessment.
Carry out a welfare benefits check, provide information about welfare benefits and help with any claims the service user may be entitled to.
The Residential Assessments Team is located in Winchester. They:
Work out financial assessments for service users receiving residential and nursing care using the information obtained by the FAB Visiting Officers.
Deal with queries about residential and nursing care financial assessments, 12 week property disregards and the deferred payments scheme.
How to contact us
Data Protection Act 1998
Information about a service user's financial assessment can only be given to the service user unless we have written permission from the service user or hold a copy of an appropriate authorisation, eg Power of Attorney.

Office hours:
From 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.30am to 4.30pm Fridays.
We are closed at weekends and on public holidays.
Visiting officer appointments times are normally arranged for an agreed date, with an approximate time provided a day or so before the appointment.
