Test Valley Borough Council
Alison Johnston is an IT professional with more than 20 years experience working for FTSE100 companies. Having been Chairman and Vice Chairman of Romsey Extra Parish council for a number of years, she was elected to Test Valley Borough Council in May 2011. Alison also contributes to a number of charitable and community service organisations, with a focus on elderly care and provision.
She is pleased to be involved in this new initiative and has a particular interest in the distinct challenges of rural policing, combating anti-social behaviour and ensuring that the budget process is transparent. Alison believes that the Police and Crime Panel provides a very real opportunity to influence local outcomes.
Alison lives with her husband Ian, with their children having flown the nest to university and beyond.
