Lynne Stagg was a secondary school teacher of Geography, Geology and Environmental Studies for 42 years but is now retired. She has represented Baffins Ward in Portsmouth since 2007 and has been portfolio holder for Traffic and Transportation and Community Safety, and has also been Chair of HOSP (Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel). Currently she Chairs the Safer Portsmouth Partnership and is a member of the Youth Offending Team Board. She is strongly committed to improving health and safety in Portsmouth, particularly in reducing substance misuse and domestic violence and consequently the reduction of violent crime in the city. She is also a keen supporter of restorative justice and of preventing both offending and re-offending.
Lynne was born and brought up in Swansea and taught in London, Plymouth and Sydney, Australia, before coming to live in Portsmouth in 1978. She has 3 grown up children, 2 grandchildren and 2 step granddaughters.
