Hampshire is a great county that I have happily called home for almost 50 years.
While the years may pass, the challenges of achieving more with less, helping the county prosper, yet sustain its environment, remain the same.
Demand for services continues to grow, in particular social care for Hampshire’s growing number of elderly and vulnerable adults, and an increasing number of pupils entering our schools. This is why we are building on our track record by creating new and innovative ways of supporting the delivery of these services. But we cannot do this alone.
The articles in this edition reflect the ways in which we are working collaboratively with a range of partners to deliver services. They also contain examples of the way in which feedback from residents is informing the development of services.
In this edition you will also find contact details for your local councillors. Your councillors are one of the key ways for you to communicate your views and ideas about our services to us.
I am determined that the County Council positively adapts to change and embraces new ideas and ways of working to ensure it continues to be a modern, efficient and resilient organisation, serving you.
