Our popular Tots ‘n’ Tinies sessions are a gentle way for young children (under 7s) to explore the Gardens with parents and a member of our staff.
We learn and play outside, make something to take home, and finish with a story. Please bring a snack.
Most sessions are led by Carla Thomas-Buffin. She, and the other staff and volunteers, wear a dark blue Hillier Gardens” uniform.
Sessions can be busy with up to 18 children, plus younger siblings.
The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Jermyn’s Lane, Ampfield, Romsey SO51 0QA. Sessions begin and usually end in Education in the Visitor and Education Pavilion – opposite reception. Come straight to the Education Centre.

Indoors: The Education Centre is a large modern, single story building. It has accessible and family toilets.
Outdoors: The Garden has variable terrain including some small hills. It has grass, gravel and smooth paths, but we tend to use the grassy or wooded spaces, too.
Remember to dress for outdoor play, including wellies.
Bring a mid-session snack.
These are sessions are designed for young children from age 2-7 years.
