Hampshire Integrated Character Assessment

Landscape Types

Landscape Types are the building blocks of landscape classification and are classified mainly on the basis of factors such as soils, landform, vegetation and settlement pattern. They are generic and can occur anywhere in the County. For example Woodland and Plantation on Heath occurs as a Landscape Type in the New Forest, as well as near Farnborough and in parts of the Weald in East Hampshire.

This page has the full set of Landscape Types for Hampshire.
They are provided in PDF format which you can view, print, or save to your own computer.

The Landscape Character Type and Area information is also available in an open data format. Please read the open data licensing page for more detail on how it can be used.
