Municipal Gardens is situated within the Aldershot West Conservation Area at the edge of the town centre. There has been a continuing programme of environmental improvements of this Victorian park since the late 1980s. The work has included the provision of a new hard court and viewing area, restoration of the historic path network and boundary railings, the creation of new entrance gateways, and a fountain. The scheme has involved a number of artists and crafts people from stone lettering and mosaics to metal sculpture.
