Equality & Diversity e-Learning

Hampshire Learning Centre, working with specialist trainers have developed a 10-15 minute e-learning course to introduce you to Equality & Diversity requirements.

What will the Equality and Diversity e-Learning cover?

As a service provider and employer, the County Council is committed to equality, fairness and justice. As provider a of public services we have strong legal duties which expect us to be proactive in eliminating discrimination and promoting equality. The Corporate Equality web pages has a range of policies which describe how the County Council intends to improve fair and equal access. Its approach to equality & diversity covers equal rights and opportunities for all in particular in respect of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation, as well as issues of social exclusion arising from poverty or rural isolation.

Hampshire County Council expects all staff to understand their role in ensuring fair and equal access to jobs and services.

Therefore this module will introduce you to the subject of Equality and Diversity, and will help you to understand how Equality and Diversity impacts on everyday life and the role that you do at Hampshire County Council.
