As provider a of public services we have strong legal duties which expect us to be proactive in eliminating discrimination and promoting equality. The Corporate Equality web pages has a range of policies which describe how the County Council intends to improve fair and equal access. Its approach to equality & diversity covers equal rights and opportunities for all in particular in respect of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation, as well as issues of social exclusion arising from poverty or rural isolation.
Hampshire County Council expects all staff to understand their role in ensuring fair and equal access to jobs and services.
