Wednesday 19 September 2012 saw the launch of the Volunteer Driver Recruitment Campaign at the Hampshire Minibus Event in Basingstoke. The campaign is being led by Hampshire County Council working in partnership with Hampshire Volunteer Centres, CVS Network and the Good Neighbours Support Service. The launch was an opportunity to introduce the new publicity and why the recruitment drive is important to the Community Transport sector.
The campaign was re-launched on 8 October 2014 with several additional features including:
a campaign newsletter (email email@example.com to sign up)
a free ‘Recruiting Pack’ available to Hampshire groups and organisations offering further help and resources to recruit more volunteer drivers
The aim is for groups to use these resources to build on their previous success in recruiting volunteer drivers, in order to cope with a growing demand on community transport services.
Following the re-launch, Hampshire County Council will be undertaking a range of promotional activities and initiatives to further support the campaign.
