Project delivery
HCC Property Services surveyors work closely with you to provide a comprehensive project management service for the installation and removal of modular temporary buildings.
Much of our work is carried out in the education sector. Many schools find an increase in pupil numbers means interim facilities are vital while longer term strategic plans are developed. Single or double modular classrooms can be added to the school’s buildings, either in the form of standard classrooms or as specialist accommodation providing facilities such as science laboratories or design technology workshops, with or without sanitary facilities.
All our installations comply with building regulations, providing an accessible cost effective solution to changing accommodation needs.
Our projects are managed from the initial briefing with you on site, right up to the completion of the building ready for occupation. We manage all aspects of the project on your behalf – planning applications, services connections, tender, order, site co-ordination and handover.
Modular building framework contract
Our team has recently developed a modular building framework offering improved procurement timescales and costs.
Under the framework contracts have been awarded to four modular temporary building companies, selected from a total of 11 nationwide companies on a competitive tender basis.
Hampshire now procures all its temporary buildings through the modular buildings framework, and we also offer it to other local authorities, meaning you too can benefit from the value for money offered by framework rates and programme certainty.
In addition we can offer design and project management in support of the framework which includes CDM, planning and building regulations submissions, contract administration and site supervision to completion.
Hire or purchase?
The requirement of modular buildings on a site can be an interim response or a long-term solution. In order too provide flexibility the framework supports options for hire or purchase of the units.
