Hampshire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1)b of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public due to a damaged footbridge.
Hampshire County Council has received a deposit under Section 31(6) of the Highways Act 1980 and under Section 15A(1) of the Commons Act 2006 for land at Stoke Fruit Farm, Northwood Farm and Northney Farm, Hayling Island, Hampshire, PO11 0RX.
The effect of the Order will be to close Various Roads.
Waiting restrictions are to be implemented on an experimental basis at the southern end of Hound Road, between its junction with Hound Close and the turning head / entrance to Royal Victoria Country Park (RVCP). The intention behind the Order is to gauge whether the restrictions in the Order ease parking congestion, improve access and address road safety concerns in this area and whether, once the impact of the restrictions has been assessed, the Order should be made permanent.
The effect of the Order will be to close Roundhill Close / Townhill Way Footpaths.
