Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Gosport area.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – VARIOUS ROADS IN GOSPORT AREA 2013

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an order to allow for works on the highway to be undertaken as follows:

ROADS TO BE CLOSED : those parts of the following roads –

Drainage Works (expected to take 3 weeks):

  1. Jerram Close (Privett ) between its junction with Vectis Road and its termination at end of cul-de-sac.
  2. Lyndhurst Road (Leesland) between its junction with Carnarvon Road and its termination at end of cul-de-sac.
  3. Sherwood Road (Leesland) between its junction with Carnarvon Road and its termination at end of cul-de-sac.
  4. Windsor Road (Leesland) its junction with Carnarvon Road and its termination at end of cul-de-sac.
  5. Moat Drive (Alverstoke) between its junction with Gale Moor Avenue and its termination at end of cul-de-sac.
  6. Rothesay Road/ Vale Grove rear access way (Hardway) between its junction with Vale Grove and its junction with Rothesay Road.
  7. Rothesay Road/ Palmyra Road rear access way (Hardway) between its junction with Vale Grove and its junction with Welch Road.
  8. Rothesay Road/ Welch Road rear access way (Hardway) between its rear access junction with Rothesay Road and Welch Road and the rear boundary of 31 Palmyra Road.
  9. Welch Road/ Melville Road rear access way (Hardway) between its northern junction with Welch Road and its southern junction with Welch Road.

Footway Reconstruction (expected to take 6 weeks):

  1. Greenway Road (Leesland) between its northern junction with The Crossways and its southern junction with The Crossways.
  2. Hambrook Road (Brockhurst) between its junction with St. Ann's Crescent and its junction with Brougham Street.
  3. St Ann's Crescent (Brockhurst) between its junction with Donnelly Street and its termination at end of road.
  4. Ash Close (Anglesey) between its junction with Bury Road and its termination at end of road.
  5. Fairhome Close (Hardway) between its junction with Albemarle Avenue and its termination at end of road.
  6. St Nicholas Avenue (Rowner) between its junction with Brune Lane and its junction with Shackleton Road.
  7. Pennine Way (Lee) between its junction with Lancaster Close and its junction with York Crescent.
  8. Bury Close (Leesland) between its junction with Bury Crescent and its termination at end of road.
  9. Felix Road (Forton) between its junction with Five Post Lane and its termination with Dorrien Road.

Footpath Resurfacing (expected to take 6 weeks):

  1. Thornton Road (Hardway) between its junction with St Thomas Road and its termination at end of footpath.
  2. Green Lane / The Square Footpath (Hardway) between its junction with Green Lane and its junction with The Square.

Carriageway Resurfacing (expected to take 1 week):

  1. Heaton Road (Forton) between its junction with Netherton Road and its junction with Shalbourne Road.
  2. Tukes Avenue (Bridgemary) between its junction with Meadow Walk and its junction with Lapthorn Close.
  3. Gunners Way (Elson) between its junction with Heritage Way and its junction with Hamlet Way.
  4. Highfield Road (Forton) between its junction with Teignmouth Road and its termination at end of road.
  5. Prince of Wales Road (Bridgemary) between its junction with Strathmore Road and its junction with Stoke Road.
  6. Gorselands Way (Forton) between its junction with Tichborne Way and its junction with Landon Road.
  7. Tichborne Way (Forton) between its junction with Turner Avenue and Gorselands Way.
  8. Elson Lane (Elson) between its junction with Elson Road and its junction with Eastbourne Avenue.
  9. Dock Road (Town) between its junction with B3333 South Street and its junction with Cranbourne Road.
  10. Cheyne Way (Lee) between its junction with Skipper Way and its junction with Elmore Road.
  11. Marine Parade West (Lee) between its junction with Drake Road and its junction with Drake Road Rear Access.
  12. Military Road (Brockhurst) between a point 100 metres north of Station Road and a point 100 metres south of Station Road.
  13. Station Road (Brockhurst) between its junction with Military Road and the southern boundary of No.52 Station Road.
  14. Pier Street (Lee) between its junction with High Street and its junction with Marine Parade East.

Anti Skid Replacement(expected to take 3 days/nights):

  1. Privett Road (Leesland) between its junction with Jellicoe Avenue and its junction with Ann's Hill Road.
  2. High Street (Lee) between its junction with Milvil Road and its junction with Beach Road.

  9. Five Post Lane, Freemantle Road, Coronado Road.

Footpath Resurfacing (expected to take 6 weeks):

  1. No alternative route.
  2. Green Lane, Priory Road, The Square.

Carriageway Resurfacing (expected to take 1 week):

  1. Kingsley Road, A32 Brockhurst Road, Avery Lane, Shalbourne Road.

  6. Tichborne Way, A32 Fareham Road, B3334 Rowner Road, Gorselands Way.
  7. Tichborne Way, B3334 Rowner Road, A32 Fareham Road, Tichborne Way.
  8. Elson Road, Selsey Road, Eastbourne Avenue.
  9. Cranbourne Road, Thornbrake Road, Mayfield Road, Kensington Road, B3333 South Street.
  10. Skipper Way, Spencer Drive.
  11. Marine Parade West, Stubbington Lane, B3334 Gosport Road, B3385 Broom Way, Manor Way, Pier Street, Marine Parade West.
  12. Military Road, A32 Fareham Road, B3334 Rowner Road, Grange Road, B3333 Privett Road, Military Road.
  13. Station Road, A32 Brockhurst Road, Military Road.
  14. High Street, Beach Road, Marine Parade East.

Anti Skid Replacement (expected to take 3 days/nights):

  1. Jellicoe Avenue, Stokes Bay East, Anglesey Road, Foster Road, Bury Road.
  2. Grove Road, Manor Way, Pier Street, Marine Parade East, Cambridge Road, High Street.

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 02 April 2013 for a period of 12 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.
