ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BISHOPSTOKE ROAD, EASTLEIGH
By arrangements made under section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with Hampshire County Council, notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council proposes to make a temporary closure order pursuant to the legislation above as the Council is satisfied that traffic and pedestrians on the road below should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road, the effect of which is detailed below.
Roads to be Closed:
B3037 Bishopstoke Road from the junction with Dutton Lane to the junctions of the North and South slip roads with Station Hill.
Bishopstoke Road / Fairoak Road / Alan Drayton Way / Fairoak Road / Eastleigh Road / Botley Road / Bubb Lane / Botley Road / High Street / Swaythling Road / MansbridgeRoad / Wide Lane / Southampton Road / Station Hill
and its reverse.
Reason for Closure:
To allow Hampshire County Council to carryout maintenance work
Period of Closure:
The order will be effective from 1 August 2013 to 21 August 2013 (inclusive). However it is expected that the closure will only be in force from 11pm on Saturdays to 6am on Mondays during this period.
The closures specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2002.
