Public Notices

Changes to the way public notices are published

Hampshire County Council now places statutory public notice adverts in a free publication called the Hampshire Independent, as well as publishing them here on the Public Notice Portal.

Statutory public notice adverts are usually placed in local newspapers that people have to pay to buy. This new publication is free to pick up and covers the whole county, which makes it less costly to the taxpayer than paying for many different adverts in different newspaper areas.

By publishing the notices in a free newspaper and on this web page at the same time, the council aims to make public notices widely available in a cost-effective way.

You can read a copy of the Hampshire Independent online, visit Hampshire Media’s website.
