In Hampshire there are over 150,000 street lights and illuminated signs and bollards
More than half the County's streetlights are being replaced and the remainder updated over the next five years to increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions
By November 2012, approximately one third of the columns and lanterns had been replaced using the latest in energy saving lamps and dimming controls
This work began in April 2010 under a 25 year, £120m private finance initiative.
