Copyright licences are charged in different ways.
They are charged either by costs per child, with different rates dependent upon the type of school, or on a banded rate based on the number of pupils that a school can accommodate.
All licences have to be renewed annually.
Quality assurance is undertaken by the various licensing agencies.
Customer feedback is used to improve and develop this service, in line with the Quality Assurance Framework for Services for Schools.
Mechanisms for collecting the views of customers include the annual satisfaction survey and complaints, compliments and comments.
