British Gymnastics is the National Governing Body for gymnastics. Participation in Gymnastics develops body awareness, strength, flexibility, control and co-ordination, which can be drawn upon during other physical activities, sports and in everyday life.

British Gymnastics’ GymMark Scheme is the quality kite mark for gymnastics and trampoline clubs. It recognises the value and commitment made by its clubs in developing high quality and welcoming environments for its participants. The scheme asks clubs to look at the whole of its structure, including coaching and training, management, health and safety, and child protection issues.

British Gymnastics values and recognises the importance of Gymnastics in schools and their intention is to provide more comprehensive, cohesive, efficient and sustainable programmes for children in schools and for those adults and volunteers that work with them.
