Hampshire County Council's Property Services design, build and maintain 7,000 buildings on 1,200 sites throughout Hampshire. We are amongst the largest multi-disciplinary public property services practices in the country. We have won numerous awards for our buildings over the last 30 years. The service includes:
Design of new buildings
·Refurbishments and adaptations
Maintenance of all County Council buildings and sites
Purchase, sale and development of land and property
Management of the Council's farms
Management of the Great Hall, Winchester, the home of the Round Table
Management of the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, a 180 acre garden near Romsey.
The property portfolio ranges from historic buildings to modern schools, libraries, adult and childrens services buildings and office accommodation.
Grounds
There are many possibilities for using, improving and developing school grounds in sustainable ways to bring real benefits to pupils.
A well planned outdoor environment that is carefully designed and thoughtfully managed can be used to deliver many aspects of the curriculum. It can also extend the range of play and recreational opportunities to cater for the needs of all pupils and, at the same time, encourage a positive feeling for the school and the wider environment.
Within Hampshire County Council there are many well established programmes and initiatives to help you make the most of your school grounds as a real asset.

Soil in Education
Hampshire is piloting a new soil resource through Children's Services, working with the National Soil Resources Institute.
