Green grounds waste, eg grass cuttings and hedge trimmings, and raw vegetable kitchen waste can be composted in the school grounds or your Grounds Maintenance Contractor may take it to one of Hampshire's central composting facilities; you could check this.
NB: Cooked and non-vegetable waste should not be composted; it should be put out for your general waste collection. Talk to your caterer about reducing the amount your school produces; using the HC3S pre-ordering system saves fuel for cooking and wasted food.

County Supplies has made an arrangement with Seek-it, a Hampshire-based company which reuses and recycles WEEE. The scheme is designed to provide Hampshire County Council/Southampton City Council Schools and interested departments with a low cost disposal solution for their surplus to ITC and other WEEE. It is aimed primarily at organisations that have a minimum of 5 surplus monitors and 5 keyboards for disposal per collection, but if you have less than this, you could contact Seek-it for other solutions.
