Waste and Recycling contracts
Contracts for a new waste and separate recycling collection are now available for all Hampshire schools. So far over 70% of schools have signed up, and are recycling. If you haven't yet done so, please send back your commitment form, or contact Julie Price at County Supplies (01962 826910) for more information..
Schools are strongly advised to take up this opportunity which:
represents very good value in terms of cost
links with sustainable development elements of the curriculum
gives confidence that you are complying with current and future waste legislation
provides protection in terms of insurance, health and safety, equalities and sustainability, and contract management provided by County Supplies.
As landfill tax increases, recycling will be cheaper than your general waste collection.
These contracts are also available to the whole of Hampshire County Council, other public sector organisations and existing County Supplies customers.
County Supplies also has a new arrangement for collection of hazardous waste from schools.
