The County Council recognises the huge diversity of the work carried out by voluntary organisations and the enormous difference they make to peoples lives, communities and the environment across the county.
The Councils in Hampshire are working together to better understand what voluntary and community organisations need so that we can ensure future public funding is directed to providing appropriate assistance.
We are currently reviewing the financial support we give to Councils of Voluntary Service. There will be ongoing information about the review, and how you can get involved, on these pages.

Hampshire County Council is also signed up to the One Compact for Hampshire which is a code governing the way we work together, this is under review in line with development of the National Compact.

There are approximately 8400 voluntary and community groups. The County Council hosts the e.Volve database where you can find information about organisations.

Hampshire County Council values the work done by volunteers and is keen to encourage more people to volunteer in their local community. If you would like to find out about volunteering opportunities in your area, contact your local centre through Volunteer centres in Hampshire.
