Waste and Recycling

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs)

Hampshire County Council provides 24 HWRCs across the County for householders to recycle or dispose of their bulky household and garden waste. They are operated on the Council's behalf by Hopkins Recycling Ltd.

Food and garden waste: your views wanted

Hampshire County Council wants to hear from you about what you do with food and garden waste in your home. The amount of household waste thrown away in Hampshire is increasing. Your answers will help our approach in reducing this.

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. As a thank you for taking part, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win £100 of leisure vouchers to spend on a special day out, a short break or a nice meal. The survey will be open until the end of April 2015.

Hampshire's HWRCs recycle an average of more than 60% of the waste brought into them!

Revised opening hours at HWRCs from 1 April 2015

HWRCs in Hampshire will have slightly different opening hours from 1 April following a Council Decision. Please see the accompanying press release for more information.
