Waste and Recycling

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs)

Hampshire County Council provides 24 HWRCs across the County for householders to recycle or dispose of their bulky household and garden waste. They are operated on the Council's behalf by Hopkins Recycling Ltd.

Public consultation summer 2014

Hampshire's HWRCs recycle an average of more than 60% of the waste brought into them!

Planning a New Year clearout?

HWRCs in Hampshire are open daily throughout the Winter months, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. They accept a wide range of bulky household and garden items for recycling, including unwanted furniture and clothing.

Sites open from 8am-4pm daily, except Hedge End (opens at 9am on Sundays and Bank Holidays), and Hayling Island open at 9am daily.
