Hampshire Archives and Local Studies

Ways to help

We need your help to continue to safeguard Hampshire’s wonderful archival heritage and make it accessible for today’s and future generations.

We make no charge for storing, cataloguing, conserving and providing access to 1,000+ years of Hampshire’s recorded history, but these all cost a significant amount of money. Today we face the huge challenge of keeping history at your fingertips in the face of ongoing budget cuts faced by all local authority services.

If you are keen to play a role in providing a future for Hampshire’s past we welcome your interest and encourage you to consider what support you might be able to give.

If you are a user/visitor/depositor who values the services we provide and would like to make a monetary contribution, you can make either an online donation or in one of our donations boxes on your next visit. All donations will be ring-fenced to Hampshire Archives and Local Studies.

Or you may prefer to contribute your valuable time and volunteer to help us deliver our services. More information

Please help us keep history at your fingertips.
