Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) Roles and Responsibilities

Newly Qualified Social Worker

There are a number of key responsibilities for newly qualified social workers:

Team Manager/ Line Manager

The primary role of the team manager is to ensure that the ASYE programme is followed correctly in line with the Hampshire County Council ASYE policy and how to guide.

Practice Assessor

The primary role of the practice assessor is to support the newly qualified social worker through the formal process of the ASYE programme and support the line manager to determine whether the NQSW has passed the ASYE year.

ASYE Coordinator- Workforce Development Team

The primary role of the ASYE coordinator is to oversee the ASYE programme in line with Skills for Care and Hampshire County Council requirements.

There are a number of key responsibilities:

Supervisor (when not the line manager)

The primary role of the supervisor is to provide regular supervision and support to the NQSW and support the Team Manager to make the their decisions about the progress of the NQSW
