About the Health and Wellbeing Service
The team is made up of experienced nurses and doctors with additional qualifications and experience in Occupational Health which enables them to make informed assessments of an individual's fitness for work. The Occupational Health practitioners are aware of business needs, as well as the barriers encountered by staff with health problems in the working environment.
Their training incorporated the following aspects:
- knowledge relating to health hazards that can arise at work
- knowledge of law relating to the workplace and employment
- the ability to assess risks relating to the health of individuals and groups
- awareness of how a business operates
The Counselling Team is made up of counsellors who are all fully qualified, and experienced in workplace counselling. They work both in Eastleigh and in locations across Hampshire. As well as counselling, many are trainers, group facilitators, conciliators and supervisors. As a group and as individuals, all are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to its ethical framework.
Both teams are supported by a dedicated administration team who are aware of the confidentiality needs and are able to juggle these obligations with the desire to be helpful to everyone who calls.
