Volunteer drivers wanted!

The Volunteer Driver Recruitment Campaign…

…is an on-going campaign to recruit more volunteer drivers to community transport in Hampshire.

Since its launch in September 2012, over 75 new volunteer drivers are now helping their local community transport scheme thanks to this campaign.

The campaign is being re-launched in October 2014 with brand new film clips showing what it is like to be a volunteer driver – watch this space for more details!

Do you enjoy driving?

Do you have some free time?

Would you like to help people in your local area by becoming a volunteer car or minibus driver?

Volunteers can give as little or as much time as they wish, whatever fits around their other commitments.

Hampshire County Council is working with Hampshire Volunteer Centres, Hampshire CVS Network and the Good Neighbours Support Service to find volunteer drivers who will:

  • Drive minibuses for community transport schemes, and/or

  • Drive their own cars to transport people (receive a mileage rate).

For more information please contact the Hampshire Volunteer Centre Network on 0844 499 4088.
